About Me
I live in sunny Southern California, where, contrary to what Tony! Toni! Tone! may have told you, it does rain on occasion! I’m a wife to a wonderful man, a mother to a beautiful little girl, and a young woman that’s just trying to find her way. I describe this blog as a mirror that reflects what my life is like in all of those roles, and how I strive to see the beauty in it all.
What does YeYo mean?
The word “ye yo” (pronounced yay-yo) means mother in the language of the Masai Tribe in Kenya. I was inspired by neo-soul artist Erykah Badu’s song of the same name (click here to listen). It’s a beautiful love letter that documented how Erykah felt while carrying her first child. This blog does the same for me. Here, I hope to engage you with my personal story, while also offering advice, anecdotes, and other fun stuff on a variety of topics that interest me.
Thank you for reading and I look forward to engaging with all of you!

Hey There! I’m a Southern Cali mom too. Yes, Toni Tony Tone are LIARS!

Another southern cali mommy here. I love stumbling upon other local mommies. Everyone seems to be in the south or east coast! You seem very sweet and down to earth. Welcome to the mommy club. I have a little girl as well (19 months) any questions for an old pro( lol) feel free to ask.
Hi Krissy! I so agree with you about most mommies NOT being from SoCal! LOL We need to represent. Thanks for visiting and commenting! I really appreciate it.
