Start spreading the news
Today one of my co-workers came to thank me for recommending a couple of books to him. I gave him one of the books for his birthday and because of that unexepected gift, he was inspired to purchase the other book. We ended up having a really good talk about their content and how truly life changing are. I was so excited to hear these things from him for a few reasons.
1) From what I shared with him, he in turn went home and talked to his girlfriend, who told her friends…all of whom are now interested in starting a book club! Wow!
2) I was reminded about how important it is to share good news and good things with others. And in our talk this morning, that thought came to me, and without reservation I was telling him of how good God has been to me, and without His presence, I never would have read the books!
3) The bottom line here is that for those of you who know, love, and serve the Lord, it’s important to tell others of His goodness and essentially, ‘share the good news’ or THE GOSPEL.
So, I want to encourage all of you to share it with others when good things happen in your life. You never know how you may be able to bless and possibly even change someone’s life!
For those that are dying to know…the two books I recommended were:
The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey.
If you are tired of being a slave to your paycheck and want to live a more financially fruitful life, then read this book. Period. It was given to us a by a former member of our church a few years back and it literally changed everything we thought we knew about money. We are debt free and loving it.
The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman.
This book is probably one of the most epiphimonious pieces of literature I’ve ever read (next to the Bible, of course!). It helped me to understand how I communicate and understand love, which is some super valuable information to know when you’re in a romantic relationship. If you want to know the same thing about yourself…then this book is for you!
Happy Reading Everyone! And Don’t forget to share some good news with someone else today!
