C’mon, son!

Ugh! Today I discovered a another dreaded part of pregnancy. This list of “make me miserables” just seems to grow by the day!

I. have. stretch. marks.

Ensue rant.

Really? Really? I’m in my ninth month and final hour and NOW stretch marks want to appear? Are you kidding me? They are light in color and not fully raised, but they’re there, and I know it, and I’m mad about it! Call me vain..whatever. But I was really hoping to dodge that bullet. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know it’s just a part of the process and a badge of honor…blah, blah, blah. I could deal with the linea negra and even the brown patch that encircles what used to be my navel…but, geez! Stretch marks?! No me gusta.  I think what bothers me most is that I’m not sure what my stomach will look like after the baby is born. A football field after a high school scrimmage is what comes to mind (*sigh*).

Rant. Over.

Before: at almost 4 months

After: ????

  1. Am! I am sorry about the news but Mederma is your friend. The website even has a coupon you can use to try it out.

    You’re almost there!

  2. Yess, those dreaded stretch marks! Is it not enough that you’ve held another life for 9 months and then have to give birth! Lo siento…rant fully acceptable, now…come on BABY :D…awww. I think of you every day. Wondering how ur doin…wondering if you’ve started having contractions yet…wait…is that weird, hahahaha….

  3. @ Monica…thank you for giving me a “rant pass” LOL! And no, it’s not weird. You’d be surprised how many text messages, phone calls, BBMs, and e-mails I’ve been getting on a daily basis from people wondering the same thing!
