Baby Talk

So here I am, with a master’s degree in Communication Studies (meaning that I love to talk and have no problems articulating myself), and these are the top five  most common phrases that come out of my mouth on a daily basis – now that I’m a mommy.

 

1) Did you go poopy?

This, well…you get the idea.

2) It’s coming, sweetie, it’s coming!

My response to my baby when she makes it QUITE clear that she plays no games when it comes to meal time.

3) What’s going on in your life?

I ask her this when she’s whiny.

4) Can you hand me [insert miscellaneous baby item here]?

Daddy gets asked this question at least five times an hour. Seriously. I think we should change his first name to Canyouhandme.

5) Did she wake up?

This is usually asked with a slight look of fright on my face.
